How Student Internships expand your Knowledge base

Student internships are a unique, nontraditional, innovative and educational approach based on learning from experience. By enrolling for an internship, students are exposed to the community and the real world for hands on experience in the field they specialize in. Internships are most effective when they are challenging and are of high quality. According to research, there is a direct correlation between the field in which the student internship is done and the career path that the student chooses to take.

Hand on learning is active learning based on whatever works in whichever situation. Be it the community, the real world or in actual work situations. Problem solving is emphasized when engaging and interacting with the environment comes into play. Student internships can be taken in one’s own country or even abroad. Taking an internship abroad is known as international internship. Student internship also emphasizes on individual and independent learning. Learning is individualized to meet a person’s own needs and interests. In addition to that, learning with the support and guidance of others is also encouraged in student internships. Cooperative learning could be through service and social action.
